Hi, I am a Rehabilitation robotics researcher. We have a rehabilitation robot with a controller that is Linux-based (many robotic systems are, in fact). I was wondering if I could deploy Hololens developer with Ubuntu. If it is not available right away, any word on when it will become available for Ubuntu? Thanks

    Hello, Welcome to Microsoft Q&A,

If your question is whether it is possible to develop HoloLens applications on Ubuntu or other Linux systems, then the answer is no. The HoloLens app is a UWP app, which requires the Windows SDK. You can refer to Install the tools - Mixed Reality | Microsoft Learn. And there is currently no roadmap pointing to this on the HoloLens side.
